Meet the Maker: Asha Handicrafts
India has always been renowned for its rich silk fabrics, woodcarvings and carpets. However, many of these products are produced in conditions of abject poverty for the craftsmen, exploited by large producers and moneylenders. This blanket is sourced from Global Crafts, who works closely with a not-for-profit artisan partner, based in Mumbai that promotes Fair Trade and Fair Trade practices. They are members of The World Fair Trade Organization and ensure that the benefits of handicraft production reach the craftspeople themselves.

How much is shipping?
Our products ship via USPS Priority Mail and cost $5-8 or less per blanket. Your final shipping cost is calculated on the checkout screen. We mail all items wrapped in poly bags to keep shipping costs low.
How fast is the shipping & fulfillment?
You will receive an email that contains tracking information once your item(s) have been shipped – please allow 1-2 days for processing. Once shipped, most orders take anywhere from 3 to 7 days to arrive via USPS to all locations around the Midwest. Longer distances may add an additional 1-2 days to deliver.

We source our blankets only from other US-based small businesses. We are continuously seeking out wholesale partners who are committed to providing eco-friendly products, are woman-and-minority owned, and source high quality, machine washable blankets from regions in Mexico, India, and Turkey. Most of our blankets are produced in small batches, so buy today -- if you wait, your favorite blanket might be gone tomorrow!
